How in the hell is Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn 50 years metal already? Feels like I was just watching him murder the Ozzfest ’97 stage at Giants Stadium. Damn time really marches on man. Last week Flynn celebrated his 50th with a killer show at Oakland Metro and has posted an awesome video playlist of the gig. Flynn and friends rocked out Wham’s “Careless Whisper,” Steveie Nicks’ “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,” Temple of the Dog’s “Hunger Strike,” Alice in Chains’ “We Die Young,” Nine Inch Nails’ “Head Like a Hole,” AC/DC’s “TNT,” Linkin Park’s “In The End,” Misfits’ “Last Caress,” rehearsal footage, and more. Rob does an excellent Tom Petty by the way. The show was on July 22.
