Are you ready for a thunderous assault by the heaviest band on Earth? Well, that just about sums up the blistering new Gojira single “L’Enfant Sauvage.” The title track from the French metallers upcoming album is a ferocious onslaught of unadulterated emotion and power. “L’Enfant Sauvage” erupts straight into a thrash feeding frenzy that is to die for. The double-bass work of Mario Duplantier kicks your momma dead in the teeth while frontman Joe Duplantier screams his butt-cheeks off. The melodic leads of Christian Andreu provide a perfect balance, even offering tremolo-pick styled riffage throughout the verses. The heavy madness employed in the middle of the track is nasty and tight. I have a strong sense that this album is going explode when it hits the streets on June 26.
